Great guitarOct 11, 2008
By Joseph R. Moore This is a great guitar for someone like me.....a guitar rookie. I'm a bass player that wants to dabble in guitar too. maybe be like Sting, Prince, or Paul McCartney. All of whom play both. I have to say, the emg designed pick-ups sold me, and kinda the price too. The patch cord that came with it was no good and caused the guitar to crackle. I think it sounds good, but i'm also still playing it out of a bass pratice amp. When I get my guitar amp it'll sound so much better. This guitar is a little money spend good. If you want to see it in action, there are plenty of people on youtube that shows how it sounds.

Great Buy!Oct 20, 2009
By Kenneth I just picked up one of these Guitars the other day on a hunch. And so far for the cost (Under 200.00 shipped to my front door) I am really blown away. So for all you folks who want to try the relic style with out spending big bucks - This Guitar might be your ticket. I was truly impressed with this guitar right out of the box. It has a narrow neck but the frets feel great - no sharp edges to deal with. From what I have seen every Axl Badwater has its own personel relicing - No two are exactly alike. The EMG Designed Pickups really shine! Two singles and a Humbucker in the bridge - and these guys are super Quiet. And to me very Strat sounding. 5 way switch,1 vol and two tone. This guitar is alder and very light with alot of acoustic tone. The guitar is reliced very well - it appears well used and looks like it has been lying in someones closet for the last thirty years. Though allot of folks are comparing these to a Strat to me its quite diffrent- other than the double cutaway. The body is really closer to a Duo or Mustang with its narrow waist. All the hardware has a antiqued bronze finish that looks really good and unique. Everything on this guitar looks old with the eception of the 3 EMG's. Now keep in mind I have based my review on the affordability of this great little guitar. and the unique coolness. These days I spend allot of time seeking out low cost winners. And this is surely one of them. I have a spent a lot of money on high end guitars but no longer. The badwater - If your into Heavy Relic guitars they are well worth a look!
