We bought this violin to upgrade from a beginner model my son was using. My son loves it and the quality is superb. I am not an expert but his teacher said that it is a fine instrument and he moved up several chairs due to the difference in sound quality over the cheap beginner model we had. The instrument still looks great and keeps its tune without having to adjust it all the time. Also comes with a nice case that has lasted well.
