What can one say except IT ROCKS!Oct 07, 2008
By Pandora Spox Aesthetically super-cool, but most importantly, the sound is excellent. I've tried out a number of acoustic guitars over the years and am rarely completely won over -- one's too tinny; one's too booming, etc. I was really impressed with a Daisy Rock model's sound a while back, but the look wasn't quite right for me. Then comes the glittery Pixie and, being a child of the '80s, I had to have it!
I tried one in a store to make sure I liked the sound, but wound up buying it through Amazon vendor ZoZo Music (who shipped promptly and is just fab) to get the best price.
As advertised, the smaller neck and lighter weight make it ideal for females. (Not just "girls," but perhaps girls at heart!)
It's fantastic -- get it and rock on!

Good Beginner/Kid's GuitarJun 08, 2011

My friend has this guitar, and I have played it multiple times. The aesthetics of the guitar are obviously cool. The hot pink glitter makes it a very bold instrument.
However, there is very poor resonance and tone with this. It is made smaller for girls, but I found the neck width to be borderline too small for me (and I have smaller hands). The depth of the neck is nice, makes it much easier to wrap your thumb around.
I guess the resonance is sacrificed with the sparkles. Because of its coating, there's less vibration and reverberation going on - which ultimately affects your tone.
The strings sit a reasonable distance from the fretboard - not too high, not too low. This guitar is probably better for basic chords and rhythm rather than fast-picking solos, especially in the higher ranges since it is not a cutaway.
I think this would be a great guitar for a younger girl learning to play. After all, at a young age we're not really thinking about tone, but how cool we look playing!
Fabulous guitarApr 29, 2012
By jbr This was the perfect guitar for my nine-year-old daughter. It's the perfect size and the sound is amazing. All of the girls just stare at it when she walks into her music lessons.

Guitar is great - shipping from Amazon sucksMar 07, 2012
By Joanne We ordered this for our 6 year old daughter for Christmas. Lo and behold, when it came time to opening up the package and wrapping this present up "from Santa" on Christmas Eve, we found that the handle was cracked because there wasn't any padding in the packaging to protect the guitar. Because it was Christmas Eve, we went ahead and wrapped it since it was the first thing on my daughter's wish list and Santa couldn't very well disappoint her, but told her that we were going to have to send it back to the North Pole to get it fixed. We returned this item the first week of January and up to now still have not recieved the replacement. We just recieved notification that our replacement will not be available for shipping until March 29th through April 9th. At least once a week, my daughter asks when Santa is going to bring her guitar back. Try explaining an Amazon screw up to a little girl when the present was supposed to have come from Santa! So disappointed with the way this is being handled!
