A gift to myselfJan 03, 2010
By Jessica Goodwin I bought this bass a few months ago. It was so beautiful coming out of the box and seemed to play great. I only have one problem which I have no idea how this could happen. I went to tune it to standard (EADG). All was right except the A string which I can't get past a C sharp. I suppose this could be fixed with string replacement, but I have not yet done so because I don't have extra money to go get strings. Otherwise this is a great bass for the price and makes for an amazing practice bass or one for a beginner. Or perhaps one for people who can't afford an amazing bass. *points to self*

Awsome bassDec 02, 2006
ive had this bass for 6 months and its awesome. it works great and i havent had to replace any of the strings. It doesnt go out of tune alot but i do reccomend getting a tuner so you can tune it when it does go out of tune. This is a great bass for beginners and i recommend getting it.
Good bass!Feb 03, 2012
By Igor B. It's a nice bass for less money, the sound is very good. I had one problem - the volume pot is out of control, it makes noise, sound disappears. I went to Dean web-site and asked for replacement. They sent me the new pot without any questions. Don't send email, it doesn't work - just call them! No problem anymore. Thanks, Dean!

By sg271 I just started playing the BASS and decided to get this inexpensive one from Amazon($75 Special).
With some minor adjustments this BASS guitar is wonderful. The black looks gorgeous.
The sound is Good and with some minor tuning it plays quite nice. I really enjoy this
instrument. Shipping came a day before promised and unscathed.
Any experience levelJan 23, 2011
By Chiyamaka I bought this as my first bass, and within a month of playing it ended up on stage with me. It doesn't have all the fancy tone knobs, but it still a great bass. Ive played slap, jazz, and heavy songs on it. This bass has never let me down. One warning, at the bottom where the plug for the amp plugs in. The plate around the hole tends to come unscrewed, check regularly to make sure it is tight. Mine came apart but gladly I was able to fix it.
