Description:

Bass Modeling Processor The BP50 is a feature-packed bass modeling floor processor. Our bass guitar-freak engineers built the BP50 with the great tone and effects you expect from DigiTech, including award-winning amp and cabinet modeling plus an arsenal of studio-quality effects designed specifically for the bass. The BP50 uses our AudioDNA™ DSP chip to ensure that both modeling and effects are world-class. Plus, 24-bit A/D/A converters ensure accurate tonal reproduction between inputs and outputs. And when we weren’t looking, our fanatical engineers even snuck in a drum machine with 30 patterns, adjustable tempo and an easy-to-use 13-LED-array tuner. Then we made sure that the BP50’s user interface was so simple a drummer could operate it (well most drummers, anyway). If you’ve drooled over our bigger BP Series models but didn’t have that much cash in your jeans, get on down to your DigiTech dealer and score a BP50.

11 Amp Models

5 Stompox Models

4Ok for a budget unitOct 17, 2008
By Dean Bielanowski "OnlineToolReviews.com"
I have the RP250 and RP350 effects pedals from Digitech. Simply the best available for the money in my opinion. I started playing bass recently and thought I'd check out this little BP-50 unit. I realised its aging a little now and newer Bass effects units are available, but for the price, I was really only looking to dip my toes in the water so to speak. Anyway there is a reasonable set of pre-made patches and the ability to modify them. Not as easy as with the RP250/350 where you can hook up to a computer and modify, but nonetheless it can be done if you havew a bit of spare time. I was perhaps most impressed with the lack of white noise passed through the unit. Very clear sounds with little noise evident with most patches. Sure, it could be better, but its old-ish now and not the latest and greatest technology on offer, but good for an intro bass effects unit for the newer bass player.

5Apparently a great product...Aug 22, 2008
By Crit_Zer0
I'm a guitar player, but I heard that my now-a-teenager nephew had picked up a bass, I felt obliged to get him his his first pedal.
He seems to think it's awesome. I saw his 'band' (think school of rock type thing, without the ObNox JkBk) and it seemed to do the trick for their covers of Paint It Black and Sweet Child o' Mine (a teacher livin' the dream through 13YO kids, maybe?...).
Anyway. He really likes it. I felt good getting the Digitech, as the lead guitar in my band uses one of their multi-effects processors, and his rig sounds great.
