Three Years of Travel, Still Going Strong!Aug 26, 2010
By lazlong I've carried this amp in a large Pelican case, with tools and electronic test equipment banging around inside. Security personnel all over the world frequently search my checked baggage because of the amount of electronic equipment I carry, and they never put everything back the way I packed it.
With all of that abuse, the only hint of damage is one small nick in the knob on the gain pot. Occasionally, one of the speakers will come loose, but it's very easy to open the back (5 phillips-head screws) and put the speaker back in place.
It has two 4-ohm speakers, wired in series.
The little amp sounds good. I like clean tones, and this thing delivers. Sometimes I like to rock out with some crunch, and it brings that through as well. It also has a little fold-out steel wire stand on the back so it can lean back. This is very helpful, as the guitar cable would tend to make it tip forward without that feature. My favorite mini-amp so far!
My only complaint is that they could have made it smaller. It doesn't need the "amp head". The controls could have fit in the speaker cabinet, facing up, like the mini-deluxe. But that's a very minor concern.
The enclosure is quality plastic. The speakers are very well protected. The cloth on front is strictly aesthetic.
This little thing is well worth the price, especially if you travel a lot and need something that can take the abuse of baggage handlers and security personnel.

Best mini amp i've heard!Apr 13, 2010
By Seth E. Mindel First off, it just looks darn cool. But this thing has an amazing range of tones given the size. Full on crunch with the gain, or back off the gain and get a nice clean sound. Not very loud, but that's what your other amps are for.

Fender Mini Tone Master is GreatApr 01, 2010
By Galen W. Rouse This little amp really does a great job. I use it for my college guitar class. The Volume is a little low, but with the gain turned up, it puts out a great sound. I would recommend this to anyone needing a small practice amp, or for camping out also. Amazon has a great price and quick delivery too.

Lil' mighty-mini,with classic Fender looks.Jan 20, 2011

I love just looking at this little guy, the detail of cabinet, head & grill cloth is right on. And compared to other micros like the Marshall this is the better product. It has the ability to sound clean or dirty and the volume levels for solo practice is perfect, you can even crank it up and get it in your face. It is sturdier and has more weight to it than the Marshall,so it won't fly around on you.I have to tape the Marshall down when I use it so it doesn't fly away, Oh did I tell you it looks great!Even if you don't use it, this little guy is a great display piece a realistic minature that comes in the original tweed/cream color with brown grill cover, it does not come in pink!

Amazing Tone, Small, Durable Mini AmpJun 03, 2011
By fredleysir I bought this little amp more out of curiosity than anything else and I am amazed by the tone it produces. Granted, the clean channel is a little quiet, but it sounds crisp and clear. And with the gain turned up, this thing can easily fill a bedroom with sound. It is plenty loud enough for bedroom practice sessions, perfect for a dorm or apartment. The headphone jack is an added bonus, as some decent headphones can really bring out the true potential of its tone. I play this amp almost every day, so I opted for an AC adapter, as the sound does suffer with a dying 9V battery. The gain doesn't offer a whole lot of sustain, but at this price point, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better sounding amp, regardless of size. Not to mention you can toss this thing in a backpack without worrying about it getting smashed up or dented.
To sum it up, if I ever had this little amp lost or stolen, I would be on Amazon the same day to buy it again.
