Good Not GreatJan 21, 2011
By Trevor Miller I have had great experiences with the Hercules alto sax + flute/clarinet stand and the Hercules flute stand in the past, so I jumped on this as well, since the other stands (especially the alto stand) are very very solid.
The bari stand, though, has a couple problems. There is a definite wobble in the two side legs. Also, while extending the vertical portion that holds the bell of the bari, there will often be an inexplicable catch, so I have to re-jigger the catch lever two or five times before I can get it to extend fully.
The bottom portion that contacts the bari is nice; you can adjust it to whatever height you need for your instrument. I like that since baris vary considerably in the configuration of the keywork and tone holes low C and below. I took a paint pen and marked where I want it so it hits the reinforced joint of the sax every time.
I wish there were a threaded hole drilled in the other leg for a flute/clarinet peg; there's really no reason for it not to be there.
Alto/tenor support is firm and works great.
I would buy again if mine were lost/stolen.

Not a good sax stand.Jul 10, 2010
By Luis Perez This stand does not hold properly the alto or tenor sax and it is not possible to adjust the bell holder, the bari holder does not protect the front bell as it does't has a cushion in that area and it has contact that with the time will tarnish or damage the instrument laquer, good price but not very protective...

By jmoncher I have Hercules stands for all my instruments. This is the one I use the most. Very stable and portable. I have use it for Bari and Alto and also Tenor and Alto. It is the best stand at its price.
Dual(ing) Saxes!Jun 29, 2010
By R. Coon Love the stand. Sits solidly on the floor without any wobble or tipping, even with both my baritone and alto saxes on the stand.
I like it but I don'tAug 21, 2010

I needed a stand for my Vito Duke bari, and I really like the Herc stands for my other axes, so I thought I'd purchase this one.
It is one great stand. Except the stand for an alto/tenor is not like the other "plugs" Hercules has on their stands, of which I have more than a few. It is proprietary to this stand and it can't switch sides, MAJOR BUMMER! Does this make it get in the way of the pianist or whoever. You be the judge.
