Amazing PedalSep 27, 2011
By Victor LINE 6's LIQUA FLANGE pedal offers a huge variety of flange effects. There are 11 flange types, each of which can be modified by choosing between Positive and Negative polarity, and these choices can be further modified by the switch that allows you to pick from Digital, Liquid, and Analog. 11x2x3 = 66. Thus, there are 66 choices--NOT including the variations possible via the four remaining knobs: Time, Speed, Feedback, Depth! When we include these knobs, the pedal allows for literally hundreds of flange choices. The pedal is surprisingly heavy; it seems to be built like a tank. It also has a tap-tempo feature. It does NOT come with an adaptor, but it works fine with the ordinary 9v adaptor I'm using. It also accepts a 9v battery. Turning the pedal on/off requires quite a bit of force; if you don't push the foot-pedal down quite hard, you'll merely access the tap-tempo feature. If you like experimenting with effects, this is a great pedal to have, because it offers so many ways of altering your sound. (On the other hand, if you're frustrated when given lots of choices, this pedal might drive you mad.) If I lost mine, I'd definitely replace it.
