This is nice and compact and does the job when I am at the local jam session, but it goes thru batteries quick and sometimes is hard to see based on the view you have of it.

Nice idea but does not deliverAug 16, 2009
By Gilad Orr This instrument was used on a Cello. It is only suitable for tuning higher notes but not the low ones. Using it otherwise may prove painstakingly hard even if successful. For any given range its pitch range is too narrow for tuning a really badly tuned instrument. If you have a computer at hand it would be wiser to tune it using In-Tune Multi-Instrument Tuner (http://www.musicmasterworks.com/tuning_software.html). I have had excellent experience with it and it works much better. You can download a demo to test it. Overall, a nice idea but does not deliver. I would shy away from it.

bad tunerAug 17, 2010
By Kelly Borchard None functioning. Switch is bad.Is on when it shouldn't be. Won't work on the low E guitar strings.Almost no visiblity, and the tuner needle doesn't fluctuate at all.May have got a bad unit. 1st representative told me I shouldn't buy off thier outlet.Had no batteries included.Told me to go buy some for the unit.Still doen't work. A refund was offered by second representative.

Works Great for GuitarAug 17, 2009
By BassMan I recently got this tuner for use with my acoustic and resonator guitars. For years I had used a little table-top model from Korg with a built-in mic. In quiet environments that works great, but because it relied on a mic, trying to use it in live or group situations produced unreliable results. This here Musedo clip-on version seems to accurately home-in on the notes from only the instrument I'm trying to tune despite any other noise going on around me. Even better, it's really inexpensive for what you get. I now see there are a number of similar models otu from other brands that work on the same principle of a clip on transducer. This is the only one I've tried so far and I'm super happy with it.
Suits me.Mar 30, 2012
By Micheal Hunt I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews here. The T-23 I have has worked great for me for a few years now. It wasn't till recently I accidentally broke the clip, but that was my fault for leaving it on the back seat of my car and letting my grandmothers big bum sit on it. I just went to purchase a new one now, and figured I would see how well it's rated here. To my surprise, there is quite a few complaints. I can understand maybe the guy going on about this tuner not picking up his cello due to it being too low, but I strongly disagree with the guy who said it does not pick up his low E string. It picks mine up fine, and I use several guitars with both light and heavy strings variants, one I play with the heaviest strings I can find for a guitar, so heavy I don't even bother to try and rustle up the strength to do a vibrato... and the tuner picks this string up every-time, I have never had any hassles out of it. I've never even had to change the battery, so I don't know what the guy complaining that he has gone through a lot of batteries... my only though about that is, you must not be turning it off when you're not using it. It takes half a second to do so, and half a second to turn it off... I can't imagine someone is such a hurry that they let it go the entire gig.
The features are basic, a digital display that works like an analog needle tuner, you can select auto, to just play a note and tune it and it will pick up what note it is, or you can do each note manually... you can de-tune, up-tune etc.. the only thing it doesn't have is a speaker for humming out note tones, but then again, if you have a tuner like this, why bother doing it by ear anyway?
Honestly, I think it's the best tuner I have ever had. I love that it clips to the neck or tuning peg, and there is no need for a lead into it, as it picks everything up by vibrations and a mic. I say give it a go, and don't complain if you get a faulty one, get an exchange for a new one, and not come to amazon.com and say it never worked from when you got it, thats not amazon's problem, it's yours for not reporting it and getting an exchange.
