"Epiphany endeavors"
As a Drum Circle Facilitator, I have dozens of hand drums and percussion pieces. But of all of them, this mahogany wood, goatskin head, rope-tuned 12" diameter Toca Vuur is my favorite. It's the one I set aside for ME to play! The bass sound is deep, the tones and slaps are crisp. It's just the right size for a woman of average height. I can tip it forward to get the full sound volume, without having to use a stand. Also, the simple line carvings on the Vuur are quite attractive. This is the djembe to purchase if you've been in drum circles and are ready to graduate from a synthetic shell amd head to a solid wood hand drum, without breaking the bank.
